Set Store Discounts

In Iris, you are able to set store discounts so that your employees are only about to select a discount and are no longer able to freely enter any discount amount.

• To set store discounts, go to the admin section and click on TOOLS in the top left corner.

• From the tools menu, select SET STORE DISCOUNTS.

• Once in the set store discounts menu:
  • Enter the discount name, this will automatically copy to the description field which will print on the receipt.
  • Choose if this discount is for line items only, transaction only or can be used on both.
  • Enter either the discount percentage or dollar amount off.
  • Select the priority of the discount. (The order in which they display in the POS screen.)
  • Select if you would like the discount fixed or open. (When the discount is fixed, the exact amount that is entered in this window will be deducted. When the discount is open, you are able to select a range in which the employee can deice on the discount as long as it is within the range.)
  • If you selected open as the discount type, the threshold minimum and threshold maximum fields will become active, you are then able to set the discount minimum and maximum.
  • If your discount is for the transaction only, you are able to choose if the discount applies to the subtotal or only to discountable items only.
  • You are then able to choose if you would like to discount to apply to only point of sale orders, only web store orders or both.
  • Lastly, if desired, you are able to choose and start and end date of the discount.
• Once all information is complete, click the SAVE button.
• To start a new discount, click the NEW button.

To apply a set line item discount in the POS screen, click on discount tag.

• For a line item discount, click the discount tag on the desired product.

• Once you have clicked the discount tag, a window will appear with a list of discounts.

• Choose the desired discount. If the discount chosen is not enabled for line items, an error message will occur.

To apply a set line item discount in the POS screen, click on discount tag.

• For a transactional discount, click the discount tag above the subtotal.

• Once you have clicked the discount tag, a window will appear with a list of discounts.

• Choose the desired discount. If the discount chosen is not enabled for the transactions, an error message will occur.
